ENA Expands Emergency Nursing Education Reach Worldwide with New eBooks

Series includes TNCC, ENPC manuals; multiple language versions also available for select titles
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (Feb. 17, 2021) – With a focus on providing a modern educational experience for emergency nurses across the globe, the Emergency Nurses Association debuted its first-ever eBooks for learners participating in two of its core courses.
Those students can now enjoy the flexibility of digital access to the Trauma Nursing Core Course and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course manuals. As part of its ever-growing worldwide growth, ENA also introduced the TNCC Provider Manual in four languages – Queen’s English, French, Spanish and American English – and the ENPC Provider Manual in Dutch and American English.
“The launch of these eBooks marks a significant step for ENA as it continues to modernize emergency nursing education and bring it to more international learners,” said ENA President Ron Kraus, MSN, RN, EMT, CEN, TCRN, ACNS-BC. “This opens the door for ENA to explore offering fully translated courses in the future, while meeting the needs of today’s students who having been asking for this format.”
Kraus stressed the value eBooks offer for nurses who have limited time for course learning. The digital design also is much easier to distribute, more environmentally friendly than print versions of the manual and provides flexibility for incorporating content updates as new insights or information emerge.
“What makes eBooks great is they have no borders,” Kraus added.
The first international member of the ENA Board of Directors agrees. Joop Breuer, RN, CEN, CCRN, FAEN, of The Netherlands, understands how important the association’s growth around the world is to emergency nursing and sees the eBooks as a sign of strengthening ENA commitment to delivering high-quality education to international nurses.
“ENA is proud to have reached nearly 14,000 international students with TNCC and ENPC in 19 countries since 2018. The accessibility of eBooks creates an opportunity for growth in those numbers and the population of nurses taking top-notch courses that will enhance their patient-care skills,” Breuer said.
ENA expects to launch the manuals in additional languages later this year. The new eBooks can be found as part of the TNCC and ENPC course registration process.
