ENA Saddened by Senseless Carnage of Las Vegas Mass Shooting, Praises Efforts of First Responders and ED Personnel

Des Plaines, Ill. - In the wake of last night’s deadly mass shooting in Las Vegas, ENA expresses its deepest sympathies to the victims and their families.
Our thoughts are also with the first responders and emergency department personnel, overwhelmed with loss of life and the critically injured, as they work around the clock to save lives and treat the wounded. Last night, as hundreds of concert-goers were gunned down along the Las Vegas strip in the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, first responders rushed to the scene to help. We praise these law enforcement and EMS workers and the ordinary citizens who risked their lives to help victims on site during the tragedy.
We offer our unwavering support for Las Vegas’ ED personnel. The University Medical Center of Southern Nevada treated and is treating more than 104 patients, 30 of whom are in need of trauma care. Hundreds of additional victims are being treated at other area hospitals. ENA appreciates the tireless efforts being put forth across the city.
